Whistleblowers and Public Integrity Conference | November 8-9, 2022 | Vancouver, BC

On November 8-9, 2022, the Vancouver Anti-Corruption Institute (VACI) in partnership with the Ombudsperson of British Columbia will host a major conference on Whistleblowers and Public Integrity. Chaired by the Right Honourable Kim Campbell, the conference will focus on the role of whistleblowers in public administration, including:

  • Whistleblower case studies: protection, incentives
  • Current legislation and practice in handling and investigating whistleblower reports
  • The effectiveness of whistleblowing relative to the power of the media
  • Whistleblowing: international practices and alternative models
  • The psychology, personal experience and impacts of whistleblowing

The conference is designed for public sector leaders; experts in transparency and anti-corruption; civil society watchdog, ombuds and advocacy functions; journalists specializing in government integrity and accountability; and all others whose work brings them into direct contact with questions of public sector integrity and accountability.

Conference pricing: The cost of the conference is $450 plus applicable taxes. This includes a light breakfast, lunch, and coffee on November 8 and 9, as well as a reception and dinner the evening of November 8.

Conference venue: The conference hotel is the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. A limited block of rooms has been reserved for conference attendees at the rate of CA$259 plus applicable taxes. A booking code will be provided upon registration.
