This paper explores the implications of the interaction between the International Criminal Court and national authorities, with a particular focus on the authority of the International Criminal Court Prosecutor to bring investigations and prosecutions. It will look at the legal framework governing the exercise of such powers as well as the policies of the Prosecutor.
