Report on the Use of Technology in the Criminal Justice System

This Report was developed with the objective of proposing recommendations for the optimal use of technology in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the criminal justice system and access to justice. Current provisions in the Criminal Code relating to teleconferencing technology in court proceedings at first instance were reviewed with a view to better implement technology as well as better organize, rationalize and modernize those provisions.
