ISRCL Conference 2024 – Modern Challenges to the Rule of Law
July 15-18 2024
The International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law 2024 conference will be held from July 15 – 18, 2024 in Vancouver, Canada.
The Society is pleased to invite the Honourable Justice Sheilah Martin of the Supreme Court of Canada as the Honorary Chair of the conference. The ISRCL 2024 Conference will focus on modern challenges to the rule of law, including the following topics:
- Admissibility of Artificial Intelligence in Criminal Trials
- Criminal Responsibility for Harms Caused by AI
- AI in Policing
- Technology-Facilitated Crime and the Borderless Jurisdiction of Cyberspace
- Political Intervention in the Justice System
- The Role of an Independent Judiciary in Preventing Corruption
- Modern Challenges to the Rule of Law
- Pseudolaw vs. the Rule of Law
In addition, the conference will feature sessions on the role of commissions and public inquiries in criminal justice reform.
The conference will appeal to anyone who works in the administration of or who is interested in criminal justice. This is an opportunity to meet, hear and learn from distinguished experts, legal professionals and academics from around the world.
